I couldn't live without it! That jam is so pretty (although I ate too many apricots as a child and still can't touch them today). Oh darn, I'm looking out the winder as I type this...and it's snowing AGAIN! We had 4 inches yesterday too! Winter is never going to end in Eastern Washington! Impressive! Apparently (we just found this out) we have two large sea grape trees in our garden that come summer will product massive quantities of fruit that have to be used quickly before the birds eat them or they spoil. She had a lot of rules about jam, too, but mostly having to do with sterilizing the jars -- any jam that didn't "set" was just considered syrup. :) My Gram taught me about making jam.
